Continuing Education Credit Opportunities

Sirota LogoAt the 2015 SIOP Annual Conference there will be numerous CE credit opportunities available. For those seeking CE credit, you must attend the entire session to receive credit. Further instructions for obtaining credit follow.      


CE Credit for PSYCHOLOGY Purposes

SIOP is approved by the American Psychological Association to sponsor continuing education for psychologists. SIOP maintains responsibility for this program and its content.

For those seeking the CE credit above for psychology purposes, you must sign in and out at the meeting room and complete a digital post evaluation. You must attend the entire session to receive credit, as no partial credit is awarded. CE letters confirming your participation and awarding credit will be mailed within 30 days post conference.


CE Credit for HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT Purposes

SIOP is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. For more information about SHRM certification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

The 2015 SIOP Annual Conference offers attendees 23.5 Professional Development Credits (PDCs).

To earn 23.5 PDCs, simply register for and attend the full length of the conference, April 23-25, 2015. The activity ID will be provided to conference attendees in an onsite publication.

Additionally, the Preconference Workshops offer attendees 7 Professional Development Credits (PDCs).

To earn 7 PDCs, simply register for and attend the full day of the Preconference Workshops on April 22, 2015. You will need to sign in and out on the attendance sheet at both of the workshops that you attend. The activity ID for the workshops will be provided in a letter to be mailed by the SIOP Administrative Office within 30 days post conference.


SIOP is an HR Certification Institute Approved Provider. For more information about PHR, SPHR, or GPHR certification or recertification, please visit www.hrci.org.

The 2015 SIOP Annual Conference has been preapproved for 9.5 HR (General) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute.  This is what we call the “all-conference” credit.

The following sessions are approved individually for credit toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute. They are not a part of the “all-conference” credit mentioned above:

  • 11 Preconference Workshops
  • 2 Friday Seminars
  • 3 Master Tutorials
  • 1 Master Collaboration
