Although there is nothing "sexual" here, there is differential treatment on
the basis of sex. Therefore, there is possibly something illegal here (under the Civil
Rights Act of 1964), but it isnt sexual harassment.
It is likely that if this were brought to court, it would not be a sexual harassment
case, but it would be a sex discrimination case. As there is a pattern of tying rewards to
gender, the female subordinates have a good case.
