Workforce Research and Performance Summer Fellow,

About the Organization

ICF International seeks a Summer Fellow to work within the Center for Workforce Research and Performance (CWRP) line of business. The CWRP team assists Federal and commercial clients with research and consulting projects in the Industrial and Organizational (I/O) Psychology arena such as selection, job analysis, career development, organizational development, organizational effectiveness, and competency modeling with an orientation towards quantitative research. We work in partnership with public, private, and nonprofit clients to increase their knowledge base, support program development, enhance program operations, evaluate results and create sustainable systems. The Summer Fellow will contribute to the development of innovative, high quality solutions and services, typically working on multiple projects with all levels of staff. Responsibilities include assisting with data collection and analysis, reviewing literature, conducting interviews and surveys, solving quantitative and qualitative problems, and interacting with federal and commercial clients. Summer Fellows at ICF have an opportunity to apply their academic knowledge, gain exposure to major projects, interact with experts in the field, whilst building content knowledge and consulting skills. This position is based in our Metro-accessible Fairfax, VA Headquarters office.

About the Job

Current enrollment in a Ph.D. I/O Psychology or related program is required; having completed either 2 or 3 years in the program is preferred. Candidate should have experience with quantitative research, survey methodology, statistical analysis, excellent written and oral communications skills, and the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.  Learn more about ICF’s workforce research at: http://www.icfi.com/workforce

 

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in I/O Psychology and current enrollment in a Ph.D. I/O Psychology or related program

Preferred Skills/Experience:

  • Having completed 2-3 years of a Ph.D. I/O Psychology program
  • Experience with quantitative research, survey methodology, statistical analysis

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral communications skills
  • Ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
