About the Job

Reporting directly to the VP, Talent Management & Diversity, this critical role will be responsible for designing and leading company initiatives focused on Management Development and Leadership Development, including programs targeting high potential and other top talent segments at Wendy's. This role also has accountability for helping to shape Wendy's diversity strategy, building and managing employee affinity networks, and serving as an external face for the business in the diversity space as needed. This is a building opportunity – you can be part of shaping something exciting at a highly recognized consumer brand. This role will be responsible for needs assessment, program design, vendor selection, communications, and ongoing evaluation for all key programs.


Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Designing and leading companywide management development & leadership development programs, including high potential development programs and other invite only development opportunities
  • Partnering with VP of HR & Field Capability and VP of Talent Management & Diversity to support broader Talent Management initiatives and ensure that leadership, management, and diversity programs are aligned with the broader talent agenda
  • Serving as a key member of the Talent Management leadership team, focusing on building innovative, practical talent solutions at Wendy's
  • Functioning as an enterprise-wide thought leader as we work to evolve our OD/LD solutions
  • Conducting needs assessment to identify and solution against key business priorities, for example, creating a coaching model
  • Managing external vendors to support the design, development and implementation of OD/LD and diversity solutions

This position will be based at The Wendy's Company newly renovated headquarters in Dublin, a suburb of Columbus, OH. A competitive compensation package, including bonus opportunities, and a full relocation package are available.

Job Requirements


Education / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in HR, OD, Management, Business or related field; Master's Degree or MBA preferred
  • Expertise in the design, development and implementation of OD or leadership programs
  • 3-7 years of progressive HR experience
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner effectively with leaders of all levels
  • Client and solutions-oriented mind-set
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and lead change within an organization
  • Strong presentation, organizational and project management skills
