We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Selection and Assessment Consultant in our Performance, Reward and Talent  group.  This position could be located in any of the following locations:  New York, Chicago, Atlanta or Washington, DC.

 

 

JOB OVERVIEW

This position is on the Research and Innovation team and will focus on developing, validating, and implementing Aon Hewitt’s cutting edge assessments.  The ideal candidate will have a strong quantitative skill set and great interest in assessment development.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-  Assessment Development:  Developing computer adaptive, work simulation, situational judgment, personality, biodata, and cognitive assessments.

-  Assessment Research and Validation:  Designing, implementing, and analyzing the results of construct, criterion-related, content, and synthetic validity studies for both US-based and global markets.  Writing technical documentation according to legal and professional guidelines.

-  Data Analysis:  Performing complex data analyses.

-  Research:  Conducting literature reviews and developing white papers on cutting-edge assessment practices and research findings, to include computer adaptive testing. 

-  Other Potential Duties:  Competency modeling, job analysis, and supporting business development efforts (e.g., help develop proposals, presentations, etc.).

 

Qualifications:

-  Knowledge: Ph.D.-level understanding of selection and assessment is a must.  Working understanding of current I-O methods, principles, guidelines and legal principles.  Working understanding of computerized adaptive testing and Item Response Theory.

-  Skills: Interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, problem solving/analytical skills, statistical analysis.

-  Abilities: Work with SPSS (required), Excel (required), SEM software (preferred), and IRT software (preferred).

-  Other Characteristics: Integrity, team orientation, self-development focus, high level of good judgment with moderate amount of autonomy.

 

Key Requirements:

-  Completion (or ABD) of a Ph.D. graduate program in I-O Psychology or related field, with a special focus on quantitative methods or selection.
