ETS is currently seeking an Industrial/Organizational Psychologist (Research Scientist). The Industrial/Organizational Psychologist (Research Scientist) provides scientific and technical skills in conceptualizing, designing, obtaining support for, conducting and managing complex research/validity studies or projects. Additionally, this role is responsible for disseminating the results, assessing implications of the results and acting as a subject matter expert for customer/partner inquiries.


This role will require you to act as the lead Solution Engineer by negotiating client expectations and

ensuring the delivery of reports and a solution that meets customer expectations. You will maintain strong customer relationship by advising and providing additional insight and support for client concerns and new strategic goals. In this position you will identify, consult and help mitigate technical issues tied to customer/partner engagement and adoption. Our Industrial/Organizational Psychologist oversee and manage validity field trials and analysis. This role will also act as a trusted advisor to a multi-disciplinary team of professionals.


Job Requirements

Qualified candidates for this position must possess the following education, skills and experience:



PhD in Psychology with 2+ years of relevant experience or a MA/MS Degree with 6 + years of relevant experience.



  • Direct customer engagement in consultative selling and solutions.
  • Job profiling and task analyses.
  • Performance appraisal and utility analysis.
  • Strong analytic and report writing skills.
  • Note: customer engagement skills essential. 
  • Extensive research training and background dealing with selection issues in an international context (including legal considerations and test norming practices) highly preferred.
