About the Job

Grand Canyon University, Phoenix, AZ, invites applications for adjunct faculty positions from candidates living in the Phoenix area who have a Ph.D. in Cognitive Psychology or a related field to teach 8-week traditional campus doctoral-level psychology courses for the College of Doctoral Studies. The ideal candidate will have proven success in instruction, relevant work experience, and research experience evidenced by publications and conference presentations.

Immediate need for part-time, traditional campus instructors for Cognitive Psychology:

  • Psy-820 - Cognitive Science

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Teaches one or more subjects within prescribed curriculum.
  • Stimulates class discussions.
  • Remains current with new trends and development in his/her field of expertise.
  • Other duties as assigned




Job Requirements


  • Doctorate degree in Cognitive Psychology or related field with research in cognitive psychology (No school psychology, counseling psychology, or forensic psychology needed).
  • Scholarly, peer-reviewed publications required.
  • Conference presentations required.
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching graduate level psychology.
  • At least 5 years of progressive professional work experience related to field psychology.
  • Demonstrated expertise through publications or related professional or dissertation committee experience.
