SHRM Now Accepting Nominations for 2009 Michael R. Losey Research Award
SHRM is now accepting nominations for the 2009 Michael R. Losey Research Award. This annual $50,000 award acknowledges significant past and continuing contributions by an HR researcher that affect the human resource management field.
SHRM and its affiliates, the SHRM Foundation and the HR Certification Institute, established an endowment fund in honor of retired SHRM President and CEO, Michael R. Losey, SPHR, CAE. The fund was established to honor Losey and his contributions not only to SHRM, but to the HR field as a whole. Losey served the HR profession for more than 45 years and retired as the president and CEO of SHRM in 2000. This award honors his interest in HR research and the applicability of research findings to the daily practice of HR.
Nominations will be accepted through Jan. 19, 2009.
