APA Advisory Group Seeks Comments

APA’s Performance Improvement Advisory Group invites SIOP members to comment on the "Criteria for the Evaluation of Quality Improvement Programs and the Use of Quality Improvement Data."

Particularly, the advisory group is interested in hearing the perspectives of members who have designed or participated in quality improvement programs.

The comment form is available on APA’s Web site.  Click here to review the criteria and comment online.

Please submit comments by February 29, 2008.

The advisory group was appointed in response to the rapid growth of pay-for-performance and other "quality improvement" programs in the public and private healthcare sectors.  These criteria were drafted in order to provide a framework for psychologists to use when evaluating or considering participation in quality improvement programs. In addition, the criteria are intended to provide guidance for advocacy efforts regarding the design and implementation of such programs.

Please contact Sarah Jordan at APA’s Division Services Office with any questions.
