Alliance for Organizational Psychology Announces New Officers

11/4/2014-

by SIOP Administrative Office

SIOP Fellows Franco Fraccaroli, Donald Truxillo, and SIOP International Affiliate Rosalind Searle are the newly elected Officers of the Alliance for Organizational Psychology, Inc.

They have assumed office as President, Treasurer, and Secretary-General, respectively. Each will serve until the 2018 International Congress of Applied Psychology, to be held in Montreal Canada.

Franco Fraccaroli (left) is professor of work and organizational psychology at the University of Trento in Italy. He also serves since 2010 as dean of the faculty of cognitive science. He was the president of the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology (2007-2009), and was a signer of the Memorandum of Agreement that led to the creation of the Alliance.

Rosalind Searle (right) is professor of organizational behavior and psychology and the co-founder and co-director of the Centre for Trust and Ethical Behaviour at Coventry University in England. She is chair of the International Strategy Liaison Group of the British Psychological Society's Division of Occupational Psychology. She has served the Alliance as a member of its Program Committee for three years.

Donald Truxillo (left) is professor of industrial-organizational psychology at Portland State University in Portland, Oregon.  He chaired the International Affairs Committee for SIOP and was the first Chair of the Alliance's Program Committee.

Fraccaroli, Searle, and Truxillo now serve as global proponents of organizational psychology, rather than as representatives from the Alliance's constituent associations. They lead the Alliance's Board of Delegates, whose current members are: Gudela Grote, Gary Latham, Jose M. Cortina, Franco Fraccaroli, Angelo S. Denisi, Barbara Ko┼╝usznik, Vicente Martinez-Tur, Jeff McHenry, and Frederik Anseel.

The Alliance is a global federation of organizational psychology associations, comprising members from the European Association of Work and Organizational Psychology, the International Association of Applied Psychology’s Division of Work and Organizational Psychology, and the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology. By virtue of their membership in one or more of these associations, more than 10,000 organizational psychologists are also members of the Alliance.
