SIOP LEC Early Registration Deadline Approaching, Earn Up to 11 CE Credits

The early registration deadline for the 11th Annual SIOP Leading Edge Consortium, “Building a High Performance Organization: A Fresh Look at Performance Management,” is quickly approaching. Register on or before August 28, 2015 to save $80 off the regular registration rate!

The 2015 Leading Edge Consortium will focus on innovative strategies, tools, and methods to drive high performance in today’s complex and demanding work environment. Sessions will explore ways to achieve positive organizational change, enable manager effectiveness and ability to drive performance, and enact learning and behavior change that’s needed to achieve success. Myths will be debunked about the effectiveness of our current talent management approaches in motivating and improving employee performance as we explore new thinking on what’s necessary today to actually impact performance outcomes.

Not only will attendees have access to some of the most leading edge research and practice in the field of performance management, but they will also be eligible for continuing education credit for psychology purposes (for licensure, certifications, professional development, liability insurance, etc.) and human resource professional purposes (for SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP professional development credits and for PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification credits through the HR Certification Institute.) CE Credit for PSYCHOLOGY*

6.5 CE credits for attending on Friday, October 2, 2015
4.5 CE credits for attending on Saturday, October 3, 2015

To obtain this type of CE credit:

  • Individuals must attend the entire day’s instructional program to obtain the credit available for that day, as partial credit is not awarded.
  • Attendees must sign in at the start of day, sign out at the end of the day, and complete an evaluation.
  • SIOP will mail letters within 30 days post event verifying attendance and granting credit for those who have signed both in and out.

The learning objectives are posted here and the full agenda, session abstracts and presenter bios are posted here and are continuously updated. This event is targeted at mid- to senior-level practitioners of I-O and HR and the instructional level is intermediate to advanced, although all are welcome to attend.

CE Credit for HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

SIOP is recognized by SHRM to offer Professional Development Credits (PDCs) for the SHRM-CPSM or SHRM-SCPSM. For more information about SHRM certification, please visit www.shrmcertification.org.

The 2015 SIOP Leading Edge Consortium will offer attendees the following Professional Development Credits (PDCs):

6.5 PDCs for attending on Friday, October 2, 2015
4.5 PDCs for attending on Saturday, October 3, 2015

To earn the PDCs, simply register for and attend the SIOP Leading Edge Consortium. You will need to sign in and out on the attendance sheet. The activity ID will be provided in a letter to be mailed by the SIOP Administrative Office within 30 days post event to those who have signed in and out on the attendance sheets.

The 11th Annual SIOP Leading Edge Consortium has been approved for 10.75 HR (General) recertification credit hours toward PHR, SPHR, and GPHR recertification through the HR Certification Institute**.
