by SIOP Administrative Office

SIOP Early Registration Deadline Approaching!

If you’ve been “California dreaming” but have not registered for the 31st Annual SIOP Conference, it’s time to act! February 17 is the last day to save on your conference registration.

The 2016 annual conference, held in Anaheim on April 14-16, offers 3 days of cutting edge professional development and networking opportunities, set in sunny Southern California.

rates are only available until February 17, 2016!

Laszlo Bock, leader of Google’s people function, will give the closing plenary address. In addition to more traditional sessions, the conference offers a variety of interactive learning opportunities including Community of Interest sessions and a speed mentoring session (preregistration required). Poster presentations and the exhibit hall provide self-guided enrichment opportunities.

The SIOP Annual Conference is supported by 70 organizations who partner with us as exhibitors, sponsors, and advertisers. Be sure to include plenty of time to visit the exhibit hall while you are in Anaheim. The hall will be open on Thursday and Friday, and the exhibitor map and directory will help you as you plan your conference schedule.

Social and recreational opportunities include a variety of meals and receptions.  Attendees can also choose to purchase discount tickets to Disneyland (http://www.siop.org/Conferences/16con/Disneyland.aspx) or to participate in the Frank Landy Fun Run or the postconference wine tasting tour.

As Conference Committee Chair Eden King said, the conference is “packed with informative talks, networking opportunities, and invaluable professional development sessions. Don’t miss the annual occasion to immerse yourself in groundbreaking I-O science and practice.”

Attendees registered by the early deadline of February 17 may request a copy of the printed program be sent to them during the registration process. Programs sent to the continental US should arrive mid-March, though international deliveries will take a little longer. If you receive a program in the mail, please remember to bring it with you to the event, as only limited quantities are available onsite. Individuals registering after the early deadline can pick up a program on site at the conference.

You will need a credit card and your SIOP username and password to register. If you have not activated your account in the new SIOP website, then you will have to do that first.  If you don't remember your password, there is a “reset password” function that sends an email to you. Be sure the Administrative Office has your current e-mail address or you won't get the e-mail (contact us at siop@siop.org). The SIOP registration site is a secure site.

If you have questions about the conference or registration, please call the Administrative Office at (419) 353-0032. As the conference date approaches and preparations are finalized, we will be adding more information to the SIOP website and social media channels. Be sure to check often for updates.

We hope to see you in Anaheim!
