SIOP Seeks Nominations for Various Executive Board Positions

Nominations for elected positions on SIOP’s Executive Board close midnight EDT September 30. Help shape the future of SIOP and I-O psychology by nominating one of the Society’s potential future leaders!

Members, Fellows and Retired Members and Retired Fellows may make nominations. Associates, International Affiliates and Students are not eligible to participate.

The Elections Committee, chaired by President-Elect Fred Oswald, is seeking nominations for the following Executive Board positions:

  • President-Elect
  • Conference and Programs Officer - Includes the SIOP conference, workshops, Leading Edge Consortium, APA conference program, and APS conference program.
  • Communications Officer – Includes the SIOP website, TIP, newsletters, e-mails, oversight of SIOP white papers, and any other electronic communication.
  • Research and Science Officer - Provides services and support to members involved in the conduct of basic and applied research, including administration of the SIOP small grants program, establishing relationships with funding agencies to promote I-O related funding, advocacy in funding agencies for SIOP research. This position also includes institutional research.

To submit your nominations, visit the nominations page and sign in with your SIOP username and password at the top of the screen. If you can't remember your username and password, you can request that they be e-mailed to you or call the SIOP Administrative Office at (419) 353-0032. 

All terms of office are three years, and all nominees must be members in good standing (current dues paid). The top five member-nominated candidates for the office of President-Elect will appear on the ballot. The top four member-nominated candidates for the Officers-with-Portfolio positions will appear on the ballot. 

This is an important part of ensuring strong leadership for the future of SIOP, so your nomination of qualified candidates is appreciated.
