The SIOP Awards Committee encourages you to read the criteria for each award listed  below and apply or nominate a deserving colleague for one or more of the awards by June 30, 2017.

SIOP’s Distinguished awards are some of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a member. The recipients of these awards are given a plaque and a cash prize of $1,500. SIOP bestows six distinguished awards on deserving members:

  • The Distinguished Professional Contributions Award is given in recognition of a lifetime of outstanding contributions to the practice of industrial and organizational psychology. The award is given to an individual who has developed, refined, and implemented practices, procedures, and methods that have had a major, demonstrable impact on people at work, organizations and the practice of I-O psychology.
  • The Distinguished Scientific Contributions Award is given in recognition of outstanding contributions to the science of industrial and organizational psychology. This award is given to the individual who has made the most distinguished empirical and/or theoretical scientific contributions to the field of I-O psychology.
