SIOP Conversation Series: A Conversation with Bill Byham, PhD

The SIOP Visibility Committee is proud to present the sixth installment in its Conversation Series, a half-hour conversation with SIOP Member Bill Byham, live, on June 27, 2018 at 10:30AM Central Time.  Please note, this is a revised date.

Join us virtually as thought leaders in academia and industry participate in an “Ask Me Anything” style conversation about their work.  During this program, Dr. Byham, a SIOP Fellow and well-known I-O psychologist in the private sector, will share information about his background, work, and insights on the field.

Bill Byham is the founder and executive chairman of DDI, an internationally renowned human resource training and consulting company. An industrial-organizational psychologist, Bill has developed many significant human resource technologies over the course of his career. These innovations include the assessment center method, behavior-based interviewing, the use of behavior-modeling in supervisor and management training, behavioral job analysis methodology as the basis for selection and training programs, and Acceleration Pools® to select and rapidly develop people for high-level leadership positions. These technologies have been described in 28 books and more than 300 monographs and articles. In addition, he has appeared on numerous radio and TV programs through the world.

Dr. Byham earned his PhD in I-O Psychology from Purdue University and his master's degree from Ohio University. He is a fellow of the American Psychological Association (APA) and Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology (SIOP), and has authored and coauthored numerous books on teams, multirater feedback, and expatriate work. Additionally, he has received more than 100 awards from organizations around the world.
