About the Job
This position reports to
the Director – Talent Management Analytics & Solutions
(TMAS). The qualified applicant will
support the ongoing development and implementation of Global Talent
Management programs. In particular,
this position will support work in the areas of performance
management, human capital planning/succession planning, and survey
research and analytics. The scope of
this work crosses Marriott brands and Continent organizations and
will require working with key internal stakeholders across the
globe as well as external vendors.
The qualified applicant
will be able to provide thought leadership for project and change
management efforts in support of projects and programs in these
areas. The work requires strong
individual initiative and detail orientation, project management
skills, a solid foundation in research methodology, and comfort
conducting quantitative and qualitative research
analysis. Position also requires a
firm understanding or background in performance appraisal and
survey design.
This position is a
1-year contract position, and it will be revisited at the end of
the year for longer-term continuation pending successful
performance and TMAS business needs.
- Communicate project plans, proposals, and
business requirements to external vendors and internal stakeholders
(including cross-functional teams) in order to maintain on-target
delivery of initiatives
- Provide consultative
support to TMAS and other COEs on issues related to HR surveys,
performance management, and human capital planning
- Collaborate with
business leaders to understand market needs and identify potential
refinements in systems and processes
- Support large-scale
development and refinement of talent management systems and
processes related to performance management and career
planning
- Support large-scale
administration of Marriott’s annual Engagement Survey, to include
managing logistics and providing support for survey registration,
user acceptance testing, survey administration, and results
distribution
- Develop and
administer other TMAS-sponsored HR surveys research projects, such
as brand-specific HR surveys
- Support user
acceptance testing efforts for changes to talent management
programs
- Provide direction
for communication and change management efforts to launch, modify,
or sustain talent management programs
- Assist with business
impact analyses for talent management and other HR-sponsored
programs
- Work with external
vendors and internal clients to modify or enhance current HR
systems and tools management tools (e.g., survey translations,
reporting templates)
- Address
enterprise-wide client needs in a timely and satisfactory
manner

Job Requirements
Completion of internship
in related job required (2 years of applied experience, strongly
preferred)
Skilled with MS Office and
statistical software packages (e.g., SPSS, Excel)
Balanced
interest/experience with both industrial and organizational
psychology, including areas such as research design, assessment
development, staffing and selection, survey research, and program
evaluation. More specifically,
candidate should have experience in or have studied:
- Personnel selection
- Performance
appraisal
- Survey research design
and administration
- Training program
evaluation
- Job analysis
techniques and competency modeling
- Multivariate statistical
modeling (ANOVA, Multiple Regression, Structural Equation
Modeling)
Education or
Certification
- Masters degree in
Industrial/Organizational Psychology or closely related field --
required
- Ph.D. --
preferred

- Strong verbal and written
communication and presentation skills; skilled in developing
presentations using design software (e.g., Microsoft Power
Point)

- Skilled with Microsoft
