About the Organization

SkillSurvey is an early-stage company with a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture.  We are the pioneers in developing a Web-based methodology that gathers confidential, competency-based information on job applicants from their work references in a 360o format, thereby serving to revolutionize this aspect of selection.  From the results of this automated process, delivered to approximately five million references to date, our customers have been able to make informed hiring decisions on over 1.4 million job applicants. SkillSurvey‘s Pre-Hire 360® has won numerous awards, including Human Resource Executive® as a Top HR Product of the Year; 2013 Inc. 5000 List of Fastest-Growing Companies, 3rd straight year; and Deloitte’s 2013 Technology Fast 500™.

About the Job

SkillSurvey seeks to add another full-time I/O Psychologist to its Research & Development team.  Our team works with the world’s largest database of job reference feedback, and in close collaboration with other SkillSurvey teams, in order to meet the company’s business goals and product development requirements.  The nature of the company, and the products, provide a great opportunity to make significant contributions not only to the business, but also to the field of assessment.    Although the position is based in Princeton, NJ, attendance is expected at weekly meetings in our headquarters just west of Philadelphia, in Wayne, PA.

There is both a quantitative and a qualitative aspect to this role.  Specifically, quantitative data analysis and interpretation will be critical to conduct validity studies in the applied [client] setting, to support business development efforts, and to drive product development activities.  The successful candidate will also be expected to engage in job analysis, competency modeling and mapping, and item development.

In addition to research activities designed to attract and retain customers, you will also be expected to represent SkillSurvey to customers (both internal and external), prospects, and other industry professionals.  These types of activities would be those that increase the exposure of our products and services to the market, such as publications [white papers, marketing-oriented summaries, journal articles] and presentations to a wide variety of audiences [e.g., SIOP, IPAC, relevant industry conferences, and customer groups].
