About the Job

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Selection and Assessment Consultant in our New York, Atlanta, Chicago or Washington, DC offices.   This position will support Aon’s Performance, Reward and Talent group. 

 

JOB OVERVIEW

This position will be highly impactful in both executing on existing goals and helping to set the strategic direction of this team.  The ideal candidate will be an experienced assessment expert and highly skilled project manager.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-  Project Management:  Manage research and innovation projects.

-  Assessment Development:  Developing work simulation, situational judgment, personality, biodata, cognitive, and computerized adaptive assessments. 

-  Assessment Research and Validation:  Designing, implementing, and analyzing the results of construct, criterion-related, content, and synthetic validity studies for both US-based and global markets.

-  Managing interns or Associates:  Direct and manage interns or associates with I-O or related training. Provide direction and review on projects, statistics, research design; and give feedback and coaching.

-  Client Management:  Work directly with clients in a service friendly manner, delivering error free work that meets or exceeds client expectations.

-  Client Communications:  Creating and delivering client presentation materials. Presenting materials in person in front of large or small groups, presenting materials and discussing client needs in conferences and webinars.

-  Data Analysis:  Overseeing or performing complex data analyses using structural equation modeling and/or item response theory techniques.

-  Business Development:  Support the marketing and sales of new and existing assessment tools.

-  Other Potential Duties:  Competency modeling, job analysis, and performance management project work.

 

Job Requirements

-  5+ or equivalent years of selection and assessment, including statistics, experience

-  Knowledge:  Advanced, Ph.D. level understanding of selection and assessment is a must.  Also must know current I-O methods, principles, guidelines and legal principles, with a strong focus on selection, assessment, test development, test validation, and psychometrics. Working knowledge of IRT and adaptive testing (preferred).

-  Skills:  Project management, interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, problem solving/analytical skills, and statistical analysis.

-  Abilities:  Strong ability and desire to work with large databases in SPSS (required), Excel (required), and IRT software (strongly preferred), and direct others on such work.

-  Other Characteristics:  Ability to sustain focus and work hard, client servicing skills, presentation skills, integrity, team orientation, self-development focus, high level of good judgment with a high amount of autonomy.
