About the Job

The Evaluation Program Manager will be responsible for leveraging learning, sales and other Google data to drive personalized learning and innovation and partnering with the the PeopleDev team and our functional client groups to implement evaluation strategies to maximize the quality and impact our programs, services and learning at Google.

You’ll work with a variety of internal teams in PeopleDev and other parts of Google to determine how we can leverage our learning data to drive key metrics, customer satisfaction, behavior change and employee happiness. This is a complex and hugely challenging arena, and it will suit someone with strong consulting skills and analytical skills who can design and deliver solutions that scale. You have a proven track record in learning evaluation and research and bring a natural ability to analyze data, identify solutions, and support clients at scale. 

  • Capture the various methodologies currently being used to evaluate learning activities and identify opportunities to optimize these.
  • Work closely with members of the PeopleDev and PeopleOps teams and other internal Google teams to build models for analyzing impact of learning activities on various metrics (e.g., behavior change, CSAT).
  • Partner with PeopleDev Learning Program Managers to design and deliver new evaluation strategies.
  • Design and support learning evaluation research to deliver program evaluations and support the future of learning at Google.


Job Requirements

Minimum qualifications
  • PhD in I/O Psychology or other related field or comparable work experience in learning evaluation.
  • 5 years of work experience in consulting and/or project management environment, including experience identifying operational improvement opportunities and implementing solutions.
Preferred qualifications
  • Proven track record with research design and delivery of quantitative and qualitative analyses to drive insights and solve highly-complex problems.
  • Analytical mindset with experience integrating multiple datasets to analyze and drive improvements; experience with data visualization.
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
  • Interest in and experience with conducting needs analysis, content design and delivery, and change management.
  • Proficiency with Google Sites and presentation tools and experience with internal communications, instructional design or branding.
  • Proficiency with complex spreadsheets/analysis, statistical packages (e.g., SPSS) and fluency in SQL.
