About the Job

We are seeking a Research Associate to join our Psychometric team! This person will play a key role helping to ensure the psychometric integrity of PSI's examination programs through a variety of responsibilities.

Job Duties

  • Conducting Job Analyses and other applied research studies
  • Developing examination specifications
  • Training and developing item writers
  • Participating in examination review meetings
  • Conducting and reviewing item analyses
  • Conducting standard setting studies

Job Requirements

  • Masters Degree in I/O Psychology, Quantitative Psychology, Measurement, or Education
  • One year of experience in testing/measurement preferred
  • Strong quantitative skills required, including experience with SPSS, SAS, or other statistical packages
  • Knowledge of basic statistics and testing/measurement issues required (e.g., mean, SD, SEM, correlation, reliability, validity)
  • Advanced statistical knowledge (e.g., IRT, multivariate statistical methods) preferred
  • Skilled in word processing and spreadsheet programs (e.g., WORD, Excel)
  • Strong oral and written communication skills - ability to communicate effectively and competently with clients and committees
  • Ability to meet multiple demands and deadlines
  • Ability to assist in the coordination, planning and monitoring of all phases of examination programs
  • Flexibility in using diverse approaches to meet various project requirements
