About the Job

The HR Systems Developer provides expertise to project teams developing and implementing HR processes in areas such as selection, performance evaluation, succession planning, and staffing. This includes developing customized and large-scale selection and performance measurement processes and consulting HR project teams on the use of these processes. The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:

• providing HR expertise by consulting project teams as a subject matter expert, conducting research, analyzing data, and making recommendations about how systems should be designed, implemented and used
• drafting and developing HR tools and processes that align with the business strategy and meet legal requirements
• project managing and coordinating efforts with other business areas (and outside consultants) to develop and implement large-scale HR processes, and
• working with operational managers and business areas to develop and implement customized processes

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications:

• Masters Degree in Industrial / Organizational Psychology or related field or equivalent experience
• one year of experience with the development and implementation of selection and performance measurement and successfully applying HR concepts in a business environment
• advanced knowledge of and ability to successfully apply HR concepts including statistical analysis, research design, selection tool development, performance evaluation design, adverse impact, and how HR systems are integrated
• excellent verbal and written communication skills
• ability to communicate complex HR concepts to others
• above average human relation skills and to work well with others in a team environment and with professionals at all levels across business areas
• the ability to assume a leadership role and project manage major projects
• excellent organizational, time-management and prioritization skills
• strong analytical, research, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• ability to think strategically and creatively
• ability to be flexible in dealing with a variety of situations and assignments
• ability to work independently and productively
• maintain professionalism and confidentiality
• working knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• demonstrate enthusiasm, initiative and pride in work

Preferred Qualifications:

• previous experience with developing and implementing selection and/or performance measurement in a large scale and/or retail environment
• knowledge of Publix’s HR processes and business operations and strategies, and
• certification in Professional in Human Resources or Senior Professional in Human Resources (PHR/SPHR)
