Angelo State University The Department of Psychology, Sociology, and Social Work invites applications for a tenure-track position in Industrial-Organizational (I-O) Psychology at the rank of assistant or associate professor. The expected employment date is August 23, 2010. Ph.D. in I-O psychology is preferred, but ABD will be considered if degree can completed within first year of appointment. Responsibilities include teaching basic and advanced undergraduate courses and graduate courses in I-O psychology; conduct research in I-O psychology; and supervise students’ research and internships. All areas of I-O specialization are welcome, but expertise in personnel selection and/or training and performance evaluation is a plus. Also, the ability to teach graduate-level statistics is desirable. The department offers baccalaureate degrees in psychology, sociology, and social work and master's degrees in applied psychology, counseling psychology, and I-O psychology. There are 14 full-time faculty, 500 undergraduate majors, and about 50 graduate students. The University is a branch campus in the Texas Tech University System and has a modern, attractive campus that serves more than 6,300 students.
