David P. Campbell is the Smith Richardson Senior Fellow at the Center for Creative Leadership in Colorado Springs, CO where he has lived since 1986. Earlier he was Executive Vice-President of the Center in Greensboro, NC, and before that, a Professor of Psychology at the University of Minnesota. He received his PhD from the University of Minnesota in 1960. His professional interests have focused on career assessment and leadership development.
Dr Campbell has been an Honorary Research Fellow at the University of London (1979), a Distinguished Visiting Professor at the U.S. Air Force Academy (1986-87), and was the Hellervik/PDI Visiting Professor at the University of Minnesota for Spring Semester, 2006. In 1998, the University of Colorado awarded him an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters, and in 2001, SIOP awarded him the Distinguished Professional Contribution Award. In 2004, he won the Over Age 70 Squash Doubles Championship at the Guillermo's (Colorado) Club Tournament.
