Robert DeFillippi (PhD, Yale University in Organization Behavior) is Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Innovation and Change Leadership at the Sawyer Business School, Suffolk University, Boston. He is the author of over thirty-five refereed journal publications and six scholarly books. He has been a guest editor of Management Learning, Organization Studies and the July 2007 special issue of the Journal of Organizational Behavior on Paradoxes of Creativity: Managerial and Organizational Challenges in the Cultural Economy. DeFillippi’s scholarly book Knowledge At Work: Creative Collaborations in the Global Economy (2006, Blackwell Press, Oxford, UK) was recognized as one of the most promising management books of 2006 by the European Academy of Management.
Professor DeFillippi’s current research and writings focus on knowledge-based perspectives on innovation. He is presently collaborating in separate international comparative programs of research on innovation practices in digital entertainment and in knowledge-intensive business-to-business service firms. He is Book Series Editor of Research In Management Education and Development and Associate Editor of the International Journal of Management Reviews (official journal of the British Academy of Management). He has also served on the Editorial Boards of Management Learning and Journal of Organizational Behavior.
