Eric Braverman

Eric currently leads the Global Assessment and Selection function at Merck & Co., Inc., a large pharmaceutical company located in central New Jersey. While at Merck, Eric has been responsible for crafting and implementing a global assessment strategy, spanning the continuum from selection to development, across all critical business functions (e.g., R&D, Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, etc.). A large part of this effort has been a focus on tightly integrating rigorous, structured assessment tools and processes into the broader talent management strategy and practices within Merck. Eric's team has supported numerous and varied assessment initiatives, such as CEO and top management team succession; early identification and development of high potential talent; massive restructuring of the Sales, Marketing, R&D, & HR divisions; and the hiring of plant supervisors, plant operators, sales managers, and customer sales representatives.  Prior to joining Merck, Eric held similar roles at retailer Williams-Sonoma and at AT&T, implementing assessment processes and tools for a wide range of talent management functions, including succession planning, executive selection, and selection of sales managers, sales employees, store managers, and call center employees. Eric received his BA in psychology from the University of Pennsylvania and his MA & PhD in industrial-organizational psychology from the University of Maryland.
