Kate Beatty
Kate is the Director, Global Portfolio Management for the Center for Creative Leadership®. She is responsible for the designs of CCL’s programs, products, services, and solutions, ensuring a high-quality, relevant, and growing portfolio to meet the needs of CCL’s clients across the globe.
Prior to this role, Kate managed many of CCL’s Open Enrollment Programs, including
Developing the Strategic Leader, Leadership At the Peak, and Leading Teams for
Impact. Kate conducts research and writes in the areas of teams and strategic
leadership. She has authored numerous publications and articles, and is co-author of
Becoming a Strategic Leader: Your Role in Your Organization’s Enduring Success.
Prior to joining CCL, Kate was an associate with Colarelli, Meyer & Associates, Inc., a
consulting firm based in the Midwestern United States. There she focused on
organizational change, leadership, and team development. Prior to joining CMA, Kate
worked at Anheuser-Busch Companies in the areas of executive development and
succession planning.
Kate holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois, and as an
engineer she participated in a renowned leadership development program at GE
Medical Systems. She returned to graduate school at Saint Louis University, where she
earned an MS and PhD in Organizational Psychology.
Abstract
Developing Teams to Lead Strategic Change: Lessons From the Field
Real strategic change takes leadership, which rarely comes from one leader alone. Strategic leadership teams collaborate to enhance the long-term sustainability of the organization. Developing these teams to operate for the good of the whole organization is key. This session explores lessons from the field in developing these teams.
