Michelle A. Donovan
Michelle Donovan joined Google in 2006 and is currently responsible for Talent Reviews, leadership promotion processes, and learning management systems. Prior to her current role, she led a team in People Analytics at Google, which specialized in surveys, focus groups, and metrics and helped solve challenging problems at Google, like how to have the healthiest workforce on the planet and how to ensure every Googler has an awesome manager. Prior to Google, Michelle worked in workforce analytics at Intel for six years and at Terranova Consulting Group, an HR consulting firm. Her passion is using data to make a difference in people’s lives. She earned her Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, has served as an officer of the Bay Area Applied Psychologists and IT Survey Group, and has published her work in journals such as the Journal of Applied Psychology and Personnel Psychology.
Abstract: What will leadership development look like in 2020? This panel will feature industry experts who will share their fearless forecasts for 2020. This panel will be of interest to experienced practitioners interested in what’s next, as well as less experienced practitioners who want to plan for the future.
This workshop is designed to help you:
- Summarize what will be important about leadership development in the future.
- Describe at least three things that will be different about leadership development in 2020 (vs. the current state).
- Explain what skills industry practitioners need to build to get ready for leadership development in 2020.
