Dr. Sandra Davis
Dr. SANDRA DAVIS, SIOP Fellow, is Chief Executive Officer of MDA Leadership Consulting in Minneapolis, a firm she co-founded in 1981. She is a nationally regarded thought leader and results-oriented practitioner of leadership development who knows how to influence powerful leaders. Her specific expertise and interests are in CEO selection, senior leader succession planning, leadership development, senior leader assessment, and executive coaching. She has a special kinship with risk-taking leaders, based on her own entrepreneurial success.
Sandra has built a culture at MDA based on collaboration, client intimacy, and customized solutions for leaders who demand real-world results. Of the CEO candidates she has recommended to boards, 100% have had a tenure of at least four years or more. Leadership teams she advises report greater clarity about the requirements and expectations for effective leadership in their organizations, and executives she has coached consistently demonstrate increased effectiveness and leadership impact.
Sandra earned her Ph.D from the University of Minnesota and is the author of Pearls of Leadership Wisdom: Lessons for Everyday Leaders and co-author of Reinventing Yourself: Life Planning After 50. She has written several chapters for SIOP books and has frequently delivered SIOP workshops and presentations.

Abstract: Sandra Davis, who has 30 years’ experience coaching CEOs and C-suite leaders, will describe some of the unique challenges that CEOs and other C-suite leaders face as they onboard into and perform their jobs. She will share what she has learned about how to provide effective coaching support for these leaders.
