Networking Dinners

Networking Dinners are presented by

 

Wind down the evening with your colleagues starting with good food and conversation at one of Richmond’s many top restaurants. We have selected several outstanding restaurants for the Networking Dinners, a popular optional feature of the Leading Edge Consortium. The Networking Dinners are scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, October 18, 2013, except Sine Irish Pub, which begins at 7:00 p.m. To select a restaurant click on the purple graphic at the bottom of this page.

Restaurant Choices:

1. Bistro Bobette

Bistro Bobette is an authentic French Bistro Serving Provencal food in Richmond’s Historic Shockoe Slip. Our atmosphere is chic casual and we strive to provide our guests with the utmost in professional service. We utilize all of the local ingredients Virginia has to offer. The restaurant specializes in French tarts, soups, charcuterie, tartare, terrines, salads, fish and meats. All desserts are homemade. Bistro Bobette will be offering a Prix Fixe Menu only, at a cost of $52 (not including tax and gratuity). Only fresh ingredients are used. 2. Europa

Europa opened in September 1998, bringing Richmond its first ever tapas restaurant. The menu of close to two dozen selections was an instant hit with guests, offering an entirely new experience in dining. Popular items on our menu include seared rare tuna, crab stuffed shrimp, Spanish meats and cheeses and beef hangar kebobs. Add to that a full selection of traditional pasta dishes, entrees and our signature dish, paella, and it’s easy to see why Europa gives diners one of the most interesting menus Richmond has to offer. An extensive bar, wide selection of European and American wines and Sangria made in house complete an experience like none other.

3. The Hardshell

The Hard Shell has created a loyal following and has been repeatedly voted “BEST SEAFOOD” in the city by Style Magazine and Richmond Magazine. The Hard Shell strives to offer the highest quality seafood, steaks and more in a warm, inviting and relaxing atmosphere. The Hard Shell offers a wide variety of fresh fish and shellfish including clams, shrimp, oysters, mussels, crab legs and lobster as well as steaks, ribs and vegetarian options.

4. La Grotta

Since 1994, owner-Chef Antonio Capece has been captivating guests with his artistic and gifted presentations of Northern Italian cuisine. In the true tradition of Italian hospitality, La Grotta provides guests with the finest, most flavorful dishes, professional and friendly wait staff, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. La Grotta, which means “The Cave”, resembles a wine cellar, and for an even more intimate and special dining experience, guests can dine in the restaurant’s actual wine cellar room. La Grotta will be offering a Prix Fixe Menu only, at a cost of $45 (4 course) or $52 (5 course) plus tax and service charge.

5. Sine Irish Pub

Take a trip to Ireland without leaving Richmond. This beautifully decorated pub has a relaxing atmosphere, outdoor dining and delicious food. Sine is a favorite spot for executives to stop in for after-work drinks. The owners of Sine have gone to great lengths to create an authentic Irish pub in Shockoe Bottom. Artisans from Ireland built and designed the beautiful, dark wood interior. It offers traditional pub fare such as fish and chips and delicious appetizers like Irish Nachos. A wide selection of gluten-free dishes.

6. Tobacco Company

The Tobacco Company Restaurant is  Richmond’s landmark dining and entertainment venue. The four-story building, once an old abandoned tobacco warehouse, was renovated to embody the spirit of Southern hospitality and charm and is considered by most to be the cornerstone of the Historic Shockoe Slip district. Ther menu selections are some of the finest contemporary American cuisine on the East Coast. The creative menu consists of regional favorites featuring fresh seafood, pasta and aged Certified Angus Beef including our signature dish, Slow Roasted Prime Rib of Beef.

7. Old Original Bookbinders

Locally family owned and unique to Richmond, Bookbinder’s offers the perfect combination of rich history and atmosphere. Close to the James River in historic Tobacco Row, steak and seafood lovers will enjoy the ambiance of exposed beams and brick walls in this refurbished tobacco warehouse. From steak to lobster to seafood, each dish is intricately prepared and beautifully presented for a fine dining experience that will leave nothing to be desired. Winner Open Table’s 2013 Diner’s Choice Award.
