Anna Marie Valerio
Anna Marie Valerio, Ph.D. is a consultant specializing in executive coaching and leadership development and a published author and writer. President of Executive Leadership Strategies, LLC, Anna Marie's areas of expertise include executive coaching, team leadership development, women's leadership, and providing leadership workshops.
Anna Marie's broad background includes experience working with hundreds of senior executives in a wide variety of Fortune 500 organizations across many industry sectors. Her corporate experience includes working in IBM with the CEO's direct reports and their teams to build worldwide leadership capability. Prior to joining IBM, Anna Marie directed the Organizational Effectiveness function in Sony Electronics, Inc., where she was responsible for talent management initiatives, including coaching. At Verizon, she led teams with responsibility for designing and implementing selection tests and assessments, employee opinion surveys, and multi-rater feedback surveys.
Focusing on helping men and women improve their working relationships, Anna Marie's book, Developing Women Leaders: A Guide for Men and Women in Organizations, was published in 2009 by Wiley/Blackwell. Her prior book, co-authored with Robert J. Lee, is Executive Coaching: A Guide for the HR Professional, published in 2005 by Wiley.
Dr. Valerio is a licensed psychologist and a member of The Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology, The NY Metropolitan Association for Applied Psychology, and The Society of Consulting Psychology. Anna Marie is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and is frequently quoted in the media.

Abstract: Developing women leaders is a priority as organizations understand the impact of the contributions of women leaders on the success of the organization. The presenter will discuss how executive coaching accelerates the leadership development of women leaders and enables talent management professionals to move them through the leadership pipeline into key management roles.
