Tim Murphy

Tim Murphy is currently Vice President, Global Talent Management for TE Connectivity, a global manufacturer with fiscal 2013 sales of over $13 billion and approximately 80,000 employees in 50 countries.  TE Connectivity designs and manufactures over 500,000 products that connect and protect the flow of power and data inside the products that touch every aspect of our lives – from consumer electronics, energy and healthcare, to automotive, aerospace and communication networks – enabling smarter, faster better technologies to connect products top possibilities.

In his current role, which he has held since November 2011, Tim is responsible for strategies, systems and programs related to performance management, succession planning, engagement, inclusion and diversity, leadership development, learning and organization development.  He is also responsible for leading the HR Business Partner team that supports the corporate functions at TE.

Prior to joining TE, Tim spent 18 years at Merck & Co., Inc. in a variety of HR Business Partner and Center of Excellence roles.

Tim holds a B.A. in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and an M.A. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from West Chester University in Pennsylvania.
