 Welcome to SIOP!

I welcome you as a new member to the Society for Industrial and Organizational Psychology.  If you are brand new to SIOP, this large and vigorous organization may seem a bit confusing at first.  Even if you have been a Student Affiliate and are now upgrading, there may be parts of the organization that will be unfamiliar to you.

Please take a few minutes to scan this information. We are leaving it on the Web site so that you can reference it at any time. Each item in the Table of Contents in the HTML version is a link to specific information. (This information is also included in the PDF version.)

Everything we do in SIOP is for the benefit of the members and the profession.  We are eager to hear from you if there are ways we can improve our service.  The Administrative Office is staffed Monday thru Friday, 8 a.m. 5 p.m. (Eastern Time).  Call them at (419) 353-0032 or e-mail them at siop@siop.org at any time with your suggestions or questions.

The SIOP Web site has a great deal of information on it, some of which is restricted to members only, such as nominations, voting, the bulletin board, conference submissions, conference submission reviewing and name/address changes.  Youll need your username and password to access these services.  If you dont have your initial password and username, please contact the SIOP Administrative Office at the number or e-mail listed above.

Please keep SIOP informed if you change your address, phone numbers, or e-mail address so that members can stay in touch with you.  Well be sending you printed publications and e-mail messages throughout the year.

I hope you'll take pride and pleasure in your SIOP membership.  And I hope you will share your talents with the group through the many volunteer opportunities.  Just as the people make the place, the members ARE the Society.
