CE Committee Report

Judith Blanton

  • We have approved the various workshops and seminars and programs for CE credit for our annual conference and for our fall meeting.  The process is going smoothly.
  • We are exploring getting SHRM credit for our CE programs as this may be attractive to some of our members and other conference attendees
  • We will be recording at least one workshop to offer for CE credit on line for those who could not attend.
  • 3D Systems has been our volunteer coordinator for evaluations and has done an excellent job but we need to appoint a new one for next year. This is likely to be Foresight but this will need to be negotiated at the annual meeting.  We have developed a timeline for .the evaluation activities that should make the transition easy.  (We should make a point of thanking 3D systems publicly at the meeting)   
  • We need to be sure that future planners of the fall meeting are informed about the APA regulations regarding advertising for CE credit.  There are some specific restrictions that need to be followed. 
  • Jamie Jackson has been our SIOP administrative contact and has done an outstanding job in this. 
  • Peter Scontrino will be taking over as CE coordinator for next year.
