Industrial-organizational (I-O) psychology is the scientific
study of the workplace. Rigor and methods of psychology are
applied to issues of critical relevance to business,
including talent management, coaching, assessment,
selection, training, organizational development,
performance, and work-life balance.
SIOP periodically surveys its members to understand opinions of and issues facing Industrial and Organizational Psychologists. Results from this survey are used to guide planning and strategy set by SIOP Committee Chairs and the Executive Committee. In 2011 Questar sent surveys to 6,500 SIOP members. A total of 1,627 returned the survey for a 25% response rate.
Results of the membership survey are presented in the six reports below.
In 2011, Questar also conducted an exit survey. A total of 500 surveys were sent, of which 101 returned responses for a 20% response rate. More information about who completed the survey is contained in the reports listed below.
