Register Now for the 2009 Leading Edge Consortium!
Registration is now open for the 5th annual Leading Edge Consortium (LEC), “Leading Edge of Selection and Assessment in a Global Setting.”
As large and small organizations engage in business and compete for talent around the world, managing selection processes requires a global perspective. The 2009 LEC will bring together expert advice and business leaders to address how to design and implement selection processes on a multinational scale.

IOP Commentaries Due July 1st
The focal articles for Volume 2, Issue 4 of SIOP’s journal, Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice, are still available for viewing and commentaries on the
SIOP Web site, but only for a few more days!
Deadline for commentary: July 1
The topic of the first focal article is “Content Validation Is Useful for Many Things, but Validity Isn’t One of Them” by Kevin R. Murphy. The second focal article is by Rob Silzer and Allan Church called "The Pearls and Perils of Identifying Potential.”
Look for two new focal articles for Volume 3, Issue 1 later in July!

Another Great Year for I-O at APS!
Association for Psychological Science
held its 21st Annual Convention May 22-25 in lovely San Francisco, and, as is
the tradition, industrial organizational psychology was well represented by the
best and brightest scholars and most cutting edge research to date.
In addition to nearly
200 I-O poster presentations, there were a number of I-O symposia and invited
