SIOP is now soliciting nominations for two editor positions: SIOP Organizational Frontiers Series and SIOP Professional Practice Series. The new editors will be selected by the Publications Board, and approved by the Executive Board in April, 2012.
The new editors-in-training would begin working with the current editors immediately after the April 2012 announcement. The term is for five years. Duties and responsibilities of the editors are described below. An editor must be a SIOP member or international affiliate. Any SIOP member or international affiliate can nominate for the editorship. Self-nominations are also welcome.
Click here for more information and
requirements of each editor position!
Nominations and self-nominations should be sent via email by January 1, 2012 to: Scott Highhouse (email@example.com), Publications Officer, SIOP.
Submit Your Proposal for SIOP 2012
The online submission of proposals is now open for the 2012 SIOP annual conference, which will be held at the Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego April 26-28, 2012. Paid SIOP members should have already received reminder e-mails with information about the submission process.
The Call for Proposals is available here. You will not need your username and password to access the Call for Proposals, but you will need your username and password to submit proposals and you will need to have paid your 2012 dues. (Haven’t paid your dues yet? Pay here!)
This year’s submission deadline is Wednesday, September
14, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.
It may be easy to toss reminders aside and put off submitting your proposal until September, but SIOP history shows that may not be such a good idea. Find out why you should submit your proposal early by reading more here!
