SIOP Launches Online CE Ethics Course
SIOP is pleased to announce the launch of “Ethics and Values in I-O Psychology,” an online CE course presented by Joel Lefkowitz, PhD, ABPP. The course includes 3 hours of content in the form of audio and visual synched with slides, which is broken down into 5 units for viewing at your own pace. A certificate of completion and verification of 3 CE credits is awarded after all five units are viewed and pre and post tests are successfully completed.
This workshop provides a guide for understanding ethical and unethical behavior, and includes a discussion of the cognitive and motivational components of ethical behavior and a general decision-making strategy for coping with ethical dilemmas. Unlike other workshops, this one takes an I-O perspective. The presenter is emeritus faculty at Baruch College, CUNY, and is a well-known researcher, author, and practitioner in the area of professional ethical behavior.

SIOP Seeks APA Board and Committee Nominations
It is that time of year when APA solicits nominations for boards and committees. These boards and committees are where the real work of APA takes place, so having good I-O representation is an important goal. All APA members may submit nominations through the APA website. The SIOP administrative office also submits nominations on behalf of SIOP. If you are interested in being nominated or have suggestions for nominations, please spread the word and inform the External Relations Committee (through Debra Major at firstname.lastname@example.org). The ERC is tasked with helping to coordinate support for nominees and can assist in helping members understand how to navigate the APA

IOP Now Accepting Commentaries
Two focal articles have recently been accepted for Volume 5, Issue 3 of SIOP’s journal, Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice. They are now available for comment on the SIOP website.
|The deadline for commentary submissions is February 27, 2012.
The first focal article for this issue is by Bernardo M. Ferdman and Lilach Sagiv and is titled “Diversity in Organizations and Cross-Cultural Work Psychology: What If They Were More Connected?” The second focal article is by D. Scott DeRue, Susan J. Ashford, and Christopher G. Myers and is titled “Learning Agility: In Search of Conceptual Clarity and Theoretical Grounding.”
The focal articles can be downloaded by clicking on the Industrial and Organizational Psychology: Perspectives on Science and Practice link in the publications dropdown menu of the SIOP website. The journal page also contains details on the process of preparing and submitting a commentary.
