Letters to the Editor

Reactions to Editors goal to include international perspectives in TIP
Letter sent to the editor September 13, 2004

I just want to drop a note to say how much I enjoyed reading your TIP article Dobr den (Good day) From the Czech Republic! (yes, I just received the July TIPthe mail is slow to Paradise!).

In the early 90s I spent some time teaching OD classes at both Charles U and Comenius U and your observations were entertaining and still hold up. I found the Czech students particularly to be both wonderful and good looking, a combination that is hard to beat!

I was finally able to take a look at my new TIP this weekend and read your editorial regarding some of the new directions that you are taking the journal. I just wanted to say that I think its great that you are working towards a more international perspective with TIP, and I am really looking forward to some of the new columns. I spent a year working in Japan as an English teacher before coming to grad school for I-O, and spent a number of months living in other countries as well, and these were some of the best experiences of my life. The importance of an international perspective, particularly in how it applies to business and todays global economy, is too important to be overlooked, and I think its fantastic that you are helping to broaden the perspectives of our discipline.

Looking forward to upcoming issues,
