New Episode of the I-O Podcast Now Available

Elliot Lasson, PhD, and Kyana Beckles, MPS, are the guests on the fourth episode of SIOP’s I-O Podcast series, “Industrious and Organized: The I-O Entrepreneur,” now available on the SIOP website.

Elliot LassonElliot Lasson (left) is professor and director of the Master of Industrial-Organizational Psychology program at University of Maryland, Baltimore County in Rockville, Maryland. He has operated professionally in the private, public, consulting, and nonprofit sectors.

Kyana is a 15-year entrepreneur, starting as a consultant postundergrad at the height of the recession and returning to an entrepreneur role after graduate school, and officially becoming an LLC in 2016.

Hosted by Kelly Stewart and edited by Drake Doumit, Louisiana Tech University PhD students, the I-O Podcast is an initiative of SIOP’s Electronic Communications Committee.

In this episode Kelly and her guests discuss entrepreneurship in I-O psychology, what it takes to work as an independent consultant, the joys and challenges of working independently, and how to become a successful I-O entrepreneur.
