Countdown to Conference Week

This week we examine two features of Conference Week and share ways to engage.

The 2021 SIOP Annual Conference will be presented all virtually this year, which allows for an expanded experience beginning this month with Preconference Workshops and Consortia. The Advanced Professional Development program will kick off on April 1, leading right into the heart of SIOP Season, Conference Week.

Conference Week, from April 14 to 17, will feature all of the peer-reviewed conference sessions, Opening and Closing Plenaries, and many of the social events that build SIOP community.

This week, we’ll focus on two exciting features of Conference Week: the 175+ live synchronous sessions and interactive breaks. An overview of session topics is below, with full details offered in the Searchable Program. You can visually review the live sessions by clicking here for the daily session grid.

Live synchronous sessions are organized thematically into tracks with opportunities to engage in real time via chat and Q&A.

  1. SIOP Curated (e.g., Awards, Theme Track)
  2. Inclusion
  3. Remote Work
  4. Selection & Assessment
  5. Technology & Measurement
  6. Teams
  7. Coaching & Leadership
  8. Legal/Ethics/Consulting
  9. Employee Experience, Culture, & Feedback
  10. Future of Work
  11. Occupational Health
  12. Counterproductive Work Behavior
  13. Leadership & Succession Planning
  14. I-O Careers
  15. Consulting

Interactive breaks are also scheduled throughout Conference Week and provide opportunities for live networking and discussion on a range of topics from educational (Developing Agile Leaders, Future of Inclusion, Teams Today) to social (Virtual 5K stories, NOLA Flavor) to SIOP-Related (Membership Open House) and are aligned with the track topics, so there’s something for everyone!

Stay tuned for information about asynchronous sessions, interactive posters, Friday Seminars, our robust social offerings, and more in the coming weeks. And don’t forget our FAQ page!
