About the Job

 

Serving as Executive Assessment and Development Manager, this position reports to the Director of Talent Management at Corporate Headquarters.

Responsibilities for this position include:


Defines executive assessment intent for the corporation and establishes enterprise governance for executive assessments in alignment with the corporate talent philosophy and strategies. This includes defining an infrastructure, tools and process for executive assessment and measuring the impact of assessment and development programs/plans.
 

Manages executive assessment investments for the corporation
 

Sets governance/standards for success profiles for key positions, partnering with Organizational Effectiveness to develop competencies in alignment with success profiles, with a primary focus at the executive level including general management.


Provides Talent Development solution consulting across the enterprise; Defines high potential development standards, definitions and criteria at all levels; Consults with the Learning and Capability Development organization and Talent Management Manager on learning solution sets and manages high potential development programs/forums (including early career, mid-career and executive leadership at the corporate level) with an eye toward continuous improvement.


Partners with the Corporate Talent Management manager, EO/BA Talent Managers and Workforce Strategy partners to understand internal talent management needs/capability gaps.


Works with Talent Management Analyst to mine executive assessment and development data and ROI implications; Shares assessment data and targeted development trends with key partners.


Responsible for Board of Directors planning for high potential talent exposure in close partnership with the Corporate Secretary’s office and Talent Management team.
Knowledgeable of executive assessment and development best practices in and outside of industry and the application to different environments.


Defines technology needs in partnership with T&OC shared services to ensure executive assessment information is tracked and managed and can be analyzed to understand capability gaps being addressed at the macro level and whether intended outcomes are being met.

 

 

Job Requirements

 

6-8 years of experience with demonstrated growth in responsibilities and leadership with at least 5 years in performing executive assessment / psychometrics and development work, in roles such as leadership development, talent management, etc.

3-5 years of recent leadership experience

Proven track record in executive assessment and leadership development having managed the function for a large, complex organization.

Strong project management skills with the ability to deliver timely, quality products.

Strong business acumen and analytical skills as demonstrated by the ability to think deeply and systemically about business problems, breaking down problems and presenting creative solutions while evaluating the pros and cons of each option.

Adapt and develop world-class best practices inside the organization that create significant competitive advantages by improving efficiency and accountability.

Experience working with senior management as a trusted advisor to senior executives.

Ability to utilize HR systems to obtain data for analysis and reports, as appropriate and produce graphic representations of analytical data for presentations.

Strong written, verbal and presentation skills.

Strong ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the corporation and geographically dispersed – balancing interests of key stakeholders.

Desired skills

Masters degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology (PHD preferred).

Certified in conducting/interpreting Psychometrics / Executive Assessments

Executive Coaching skills.

Strong consultative skills
