Amazon is currently recruiting for a 4-month summer internship at our company headquarters in Seattle. 

About the Job


In this role you will be part of the Talent Assessment team of the Recruiting organization and work closely with teams across Amazon to assist in the development of innovative assessment strategies. You will work with I-O psychology staff and business leaders to perform job analyses, competency modeling, assessment development activities and assessment validation. Successful candidates will have experience in assessment development and statistical analysis, be detail-driven, and have excellent problem solving abilities. 

You will:

·         Interact with project sponsors and multiple business teams.

·         Conduct job analysis activities including focus groups and survey development and analysis

·         Conduct statistical analysis including descriptive statistics, validation and adverse impact analysis

·         Maintain and update various databases

·         Develop assessment content with subject matter experts

·         Help to evaluate and partner with assessment vendors

·         Create and disseminate project updates and results to stakeholders

·         Provide project management support including scheduling and conducting meetings, coordinating focus groups, and managing project timelines


Job Requirements


Basic Qualifications

·         Currently enrolled in a doctoral graduate degree program in Industrial - Organizational Psychology or related field

·         Previous experience in recruiting or assessment strategies or similar selection activities


Preferred Qualifications

·         Knowledge and experience with assessment strategies and data analysis

·         Excellent written and oral communication skills

·         Quantitative analytical abilities

·         Proven problem solving skills

·         Strong organizational skills

·         Detail Driven

·         Master's degree in Industrial - Organizational Psychology or related field
