Founded in 1957, PCI specializes in conducting individual assessments for regional, national, and international organizations.  PCI works with clients in diverse industries and assesses both internal and external candidates for roles that range in level from professional to executive.  The assessment process is used by our clients for selection, developmental, and succession planning purposes.  In the current decade, PCI has leveraged technology to provide in-depth assessment services remotely to its clients and has conducted such assessments in virtually every major region throughout the world.

About the Job

We are seeking a PhD or Masters level Individual Assessor.  To truly enjoy and be effective in this position, you need to have a deep interest in understanding people and the ability to translate those insights into practical implications that can help our clients make more informed hiring, development, and succession planning decisions.  Openness to feedback and a willingness to learn the PCI process and adhere to reporting standards are essential.  Interest in working in a collaborative environment, including receiving training and coaching from peers, is also critical.

The process includes interviewing candidates (in our office, by phone, or video-conference) who have been prescreened by our clients, interpreting results of a comprehensive intellectual and personality test battery, integrating interview and test data, dictating customized narrative reports from scratch (typically 5-6 pages in length), and rating customized competencies.  Assessors also will also serve as a peer reviewer of the reports that are written by their colleagues, to ensure reliability and consistency across interviewers.  This position also includes frequent interaction with our key leaders and hiring managers within our clients’ organizations.  In addition, this individual may be assigned projects and other tasks related to supporting client needs and business objectives.


Job Requirements

  • PhD/Psy D or Masters in Clinical, Counseling, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology. Master’s degree MUST be accompanied by 3-5 years relevant experience 
  • Deep understanding of how to interpret and integrate standardized psychological tests and exceptional critical thinking skills
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Excellent writing skills and the ability to tell a story based on objective data
  • Ability to commit to meeting strict deadlines for report submission (i.e., dictation is typically due EOB day after the interview is conducted)
