About the Job

We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Assessment Consultant (Ph.D. level) for our client site in Washington, DC.  This position will support Aon’s Performance, Reward and Talent practice. 

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

-  Data Analysis. Performing complex data analyses managing large databases and using SPSS and Excel, including descriptive statistics, correlation, item analysis, adverse impact analyses, regression and, potentially, structural equation modeling and item response theory techniques.

-  Assessment Development. Developing work simulation, situational judgment, personality, biodata, cognitive, and computer adaptive assessments. 

-  Assessment Validation. Designing, implementing, and analyzing the results of construct, criterion-related, content, and synthetic validity studies.

-  Research. Conducting literature reviews on cutting-edge assessment practices and research findings, writing technical documentation mapping to legal and professional guidelines. 

-  Project Management.  Manage selection and assessment projects.

-  Client Management.  Work directly with clients in a service friendly manner, delivering error free work that meets or exceeds client expectations.

-  Client communications.  Creating and delivering client presentation materials.  Presenting materials in person in front of large or small groups, presenting materials and discussing client needs in conferences and webinars.

-  Other Potential Duties: Competency modeling, job analysis, and performance management project work.

Job Requirements

Key Skills and Qualifications:
-  Knowledge:   Advanced, Ph.D. level understanding of current I-O methods, principles, guidelines and legal principles, with a special emphasis on selection, assessment, test development, test validation, and psychometrics.
-  Skills:   Interpersonal skills, technical proficiency, problem solving/analytical skills, statistical analysis.
-  Abilities:   Strong skill and desire to work with large databases in SPSS (required), Excel (required), SEM software (preferred), and IRT software (preferred).
-  Other characteristics:   Ability to sustain focus and work hard, client servicing skills, presentation skills, integrity, team orientation, self development focus, high level of good judgment with moderate amount of autonomy.
 
Key Requirements:
-  Master’s degree in I-O psychology or related field required;  completion (or ABD with planned graduation date) of a Ph.D. graduate program in I-O psychology preferred
-  Applied experience during education such as internships, applied testing projects, assessment related work, validation studies, management of large databases, SPSS related projects, test development and validation.
