About the Job

At Save Mart Supermarkets, the Human Resources Department is a “purpose-driven” business unit. Under the leadership of the Senior Manager of Talent Acquisition and Engagement, the Manager of Workplace and Employee Engagement will join forces with the rest of the Talent Management Team at Save Mart Supermarkets with the primary focus of maintaining a quality work environment that is fun, positive, healthy, satisfying, and full of learning and development opportunities. It’s critical to foster a work environment that generates excitement about our jobs and a drive to excel in everything we do. The ideal candidate will play a key role in setting the strategy and driving a spectrum of employee engagement initiatives across the organization. This position will also act as the “Culture Champion” by assisting the company with setting standards for our workforce culture, driving the actions that build it, and provide measurements to assist with holding us accountable for making it a reality. With the intent to foster a work environment that is fun, positive, healthy, and satisfying. This position leads key internal employment branding initiatives and program strategies in the areas of recognition, survey feedback, ideas, and other internal employment related corporate culture programs. The ideal candidate must possess a strong knowledge base of developing and driving employee engagement programs, managing multiple projects, and working with a dynamic team of people. Must be able to excel in a fast-paced, energetic, creative, and collaborative work environment. Additionally, the Manager of Workplace and Employee Experience is responsible for modeling and fostering values-based performance and leadership to the company by:

•Helping the Company by building and enabling distinctive and positive employee and customer experiences.
•Leading change and promoting innovation.
•Inspiring direct staff, peers, and employee loyalty by developing effective partnerships within the entire organization.
•Delivering on timely and effective employee engagement solutions that help promote both the short and long term goals of the organization.
•Forming collaborative partnerships with all banners and other key business partners within the organization.

Qualifications:

•Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
•An Advanced Degree is preferred.
•Passionate, creative, and energetic approach to people-projects.
•Experience in both Learning & Development and Talent Acquisition.
•Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
•Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of employment principles, practices and applicable regulations.
•Demonstrated leadership, change management, and success in planning, leading and driving change in the organization while meeting or exceeding business objectives.
•Demonstrated business savvy to effectively communicate and work with other executives in support of achieving business goals.
•Skilled at creating professional, high-polish in materials, communications, and events.
•Professional communications, reporting, and presentation skills to all levels of leadership.
•Skilled at speaking in front of large groups.
•Team player, adept at building relationships across organizations.
•Expertise with productivity software, including Microsoft Office.
•Ability to travel.
