2008 SIOpen Golf Outing

After a year’s hiatus, the spectacle that is the SIOpen golf event will be held at beautiful Stonetree Golf Club in northern Marin County. Close by the vineyards of Napa and Sonoma Valleys this 6,810-yard, par 72 championship course is designed to challenge tournament-level players, but the accessibility to the greens and absence of unfair penalties makes it enjoyable for players of all skill levels. As always, players of ALL skill levels are welcome in this event. Teams will be handicapped based upon the information you provide on the entry form. The format, as in previous years, is a 4-person scramble. Each team member hits a tee shot and the team selects the best of the four shots to play. Then each team member hits from the location of the selected shot.
Registration for this event involves two steps:
Indicate your interest in participating in the SIOpen on your general SIOP conference registration form and include your payment in your grand total. The entry fee of $115 includes greens fees, cart, transportation, and prizes.
Complete the online tournament entry form (click here) and mail to Ron Landis, Department of Psychology, University of Memphis, Memphis, TN 38152. Or, you can e-mail your team’s members names, handicaps, and transportation requirements to Ron at firstname.lastname@example.org.
StoneTree is located about 20 minutes north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Motorcoach transportation from the Hilton hotel will leave at 12:00 p.m., take you to the course, and bring you back at the conclusion of the event.
