SIOP Sneak Peek Open House (in Virtual Chair): 4 to 6 p.m. CT Friday, April 9 
Drop in for a preview of our exciting new technology called Virtual Chair, which lets conference registrants move their avatars freely through a New Orleans-themed virtual venue to connect via audio and/or video with friends old and new! There will also be a scavenger hunt for those interested in exploring every corner of the SIOP virtual gathering space. See the How to Conference webpage for detailed information. 
 

Welcome Reception (in Virtual Chair): 6 to 8 p.m. CT Wednesday, April 14
Mark your calendars for an exciting event that will bring together dynamic academics and practitioners in game-show-like fun – SIOP in NOLA Squares, hosted by Tori Howes! Stop by the Top Posters from 2020 and 2021 and visit with, or congratulate, the authors in the Poster Room. 

Be prepared to mix up a famous New Orleans cocktail or mocktail, and laissez les bons temps rouler! But don’t be late – SIOP in NOLA Squares starts promptly at 6:30 p.m. CT on Jackson Square in the NOLA-themed Virtual Chair venue.

Friday Reception (in Virtual Chair): 6 to 8 p.m. CT Friday, April 16
Special events during the Friday reception are both educational and social. Grab a seat at one of the roundtable conversations on the Top 10 Work Trends, featuring champions and experts in the field (held 6:30 – 7:30 p.m. CT in the Roundtable Room).

Kick back and relax on a bench in Jackson Square while enjoying a virtual tour of the French Quarter’s creole cuisine, architecture, and history (30 min. starting at 6 p.m. and 7 p.m. CT).

Interactive Breaks (in Zoom)
Breaks are scheduled over the course of the live synchronous sessions (April 15-17) for virtual socializing and collaboration, akin to the coffee breaks and receptions where so many connections are made each year. You can expect a combination of curated topics that connect to the educational program’s tracks, high-impact topics that are broadly applicable across the membership, and groups that form around non-work topics, such as personal hobbies (e.g., running). These interactive breaks are listed on the Live Synchronous Sessions webpage and in the Searchable Program.
