A paragraph (100 words or less) describing the proposal in simple, nontechnical terms will assist the Program Committee and staff in publicizing accepted proposals to members of the media. Please be sure to include the results or takeaway of your research. Please DO NOT copy the abstract for use as a press paragraph.
- Differences in how a manager sees him/herself and how others view him/her are important for the purpose of performance feedback; a manager’s self-assessment may differ from the ratings of his/her employees, peers, customers, etc., and this difference can be one source of workplace conflict. Recently, the degree to which differences exist between self- and other-ratings has become a topic of interest to organizational researchers, with agreement considered indicative of rater “self-awareness.” This study documents the accuracy of self-awareness and explores the factors that lead to a lack thereof.
