The SIOP Annual Conference is open to all. Varying registration rates apply for SIOP student members, SIOP members, SIOP professional members, SIOP affiliates, and nonmembers of SIOP. If you are interested in becoming a member, please view the membership criteria to learn more.
See the registration rates page for fees and the cancellation policy.
With a full conference registration you can choose from hundreds of educational and poster sessions to attend April 30-May 2. The only educational sessions requiring an additional registration fee are the Preconference Workshops, Consortia, Research Community Forums, and Friday Seminars .
Full registrants are also welcome at all SIOP general receptions and have access to the exhibit hall, a daily continental breakfast, and coffee breaks each afternoon. A daily lunch break will allow you to meet up with friends and colleagues at a place of your choosing, but lunch is not included in your registration. Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference.
Spouses or guests may register for a small fee and are permitted in the exhibit hall and at evening receptions only (not in educational sessions). Exhibit hall-only registrants are permitted in the exhibit hall only (not in educational sessions or evening receptions).
All attendees must accept the following policy statements to complete registration for the conference: SIOP Anti-Harassment Policy, SIOP Privacy Policy, and SIOP Terms of Use.
No. Except for a handful of speakers who will be registered by the SIOP office (e.g., Preconference Workshop presenters), conference attendees, including presenters, must pay the registration fee to attend the conference. Presenters who are nonmembers must pay the nonmember conference registration rate. There are no special presenter discounts or waivers available. In the Call for Proposals for conference submissions it was stated that presenters must pay a registration fee.
The submission deadline was Oct. 8, 2025, per the Call for Proposals. No late submissions are accepted. The Call for Proposals for the 2027 SIOP Annual Conference will be announced in August 2026.
Each poster presenter will have a board that is 4 feet high by 8 feet wide to post their information. Presenters can create one large poster or several small ones, but everything must fit within these dimensions. It is no recommended to just post a printout of the pager as this is difficult to read. Some services, such as https://postersmith.com/, print on fabric, making it easier to pack your presentation.
Yes, continuing education credits are available through the Preconference Workshops and Friday Seminars. If you would like more information about continuing education credits, please visit the Continuing Education webpage.
If you plan to attend any preconference activities (e.g., workshops, consortia, etc.) you will want to arrive by Tuesday evening, April 28. Those events begin early Wednesday morning. For basic conference attendance, we suggest you arrive by late afternoon on Wednesday, April 29. The Opening Plenary and Welcome Reception take place beginning at 7 p.m. on Wednesday. The regular conference program begins bright and early the morning of Thursday, April 30. Events officially wrap up with the Closing Plenary at 4 p.m. followed by the Closing Reception from 5-6 p.m.
The most convenient places to stay when attending the SIOP Annual Conference are one of the headquarters hotels because everything you need will be right there in the same area. Our room block usually does sell out, so book your room soon so as to not miss out. Once the host hotels are sold out, SIOP will provide additional hotel options on the hotel webpage.
SIOP enjoys welcoming attendees from around the globe to our Annual Conference. Please contact siop@siop.org with your name, address, and information. A standard letter will be emailed to you.
The Career Open House is designed to help Annual Conference attendees connect efficiently with employers, universities, and partner organizations. The 2-hour event will take place on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Registration to attend the Career Open House is included with conference registration, and employers who would like to learn more about securing a table for the event can contact Michelle Goro at mgoro@siop.org.
Yes, the success of the SIOP Annual Conference is based in part on the support of our partners who provide products and services in the field of industrial organizational psychology. There are numerous exhibit, sponsor, and advertising partnership opportunities from which to choose. Contact Susan Rogers at srogers@siop.org for more information.
There is no official dress code for the SIOP Annual Conference. Most attendees wear business attire or business casual attire during their time at the conference. Note that some meeting facilities can have wide variations in temperatures, which may be out of SIOP’s immediate control. Therefore, you may wish to dress in layers to be comfortable regardless of the room you are in. It is also recommended to wear comfortable shoes – this one is important enough to state twice! You may be on your feet a lot and spend time walking from session to session, so wearing comfortable shoes goes a long way!
Because the costs for this event have continued to rise, the Conference Committee has made the difficult decision to no longer hold the Fun Run. We encourage those interested in running to use the Whova app to connect with other runners.

SIOP does not keep full-text copies of all research presented at our conferences. For abstracts and submitter information, please use the searchable program. You can contact the submitters directly for copies of their work. Some submitters have chosen to make their submission documents available in the searchable program, so you may find what you need without having to contact the submitter.
