With a conference registration you can choose from hundreds of educational and poster sessions to attend April 2-5, 2025. The only educational sessions requiring an additional registration fee are the Preconference Workshops, Consortia, Research Community Forums, and Friday Seminars.
Registrants are also welcome at all SIOP general receptions and have access to the exhibit hall, a daily continental breakfast, and coffee breaks each afternoon. A daily lunch break will allow you to meet up with friends and colleagues at a place of your choosing, but lunch is not included in your registration. Wi-Fi is available throughout the conference.
Spouses or guests may register for a small fee and are permitted in the exhibit hall and at evening receptions only (not in educational sessions). Exhibit hall-only registrants are permitted in the exhibit hall only (not in educational sessions or evening receptions).
All attendees must accept the following policy statements to complete registration for the conference: SIOP Anti-Harassment Policy, SIOP Privacy Policy, and SIOP Terms of Use.
No. Conference attendees, including presenters, must pay the registration fee to attend the conference. Presenters who are nonmembers must pay the nonmember conference registration rate. There are no special presenter discounts or waivers available. In the Call for Proposals for conference submissions it was stated that presenters must pay a registration fee.
The submission deadline was Oct. 9, 2024, per the Call for Proposals. No late submissions are accepted. The Call for Proposals for the 2026 SIOP Annual Conference will be announced in August 2025.
Each poster presenter will have a board that is 4 feet high by 8 feet wide to post their information. Presenters can create one large poster or several smaller ones, but everything must fit within these dimensions. It is not recommended to just post a printout of the paper as this is difficult to read. Some services, such as https://postersmith.com/, print on fabric, making it easier to pack your presentation.
Yes, continuing education credits are available through the Preconference Workshops and most Friday Seminars. If you would like more information about continuing education credits, please visit the Continuing Education webpage.
If you plan to attend any preconference activities (the workshops, consortia, etc.) you will want to arrive by Tuesday evening, April 1. Those events begin early Wednesday morning. For basic conference attendance, we suggest you arrive by late afternoon Wednesday, April 2. The Opening Plenary and Welcome Reception take place beginning at 7 p.m. Wednesday. The regular conference program begins bright and early the morning of Thursday, April 3. Events officially wrap up late afternoon/early evening on Saturday, April 5.
The most convenient places to stay when attending the SIOP Annual Conference are one of the headquarters hotels because everything you need will be right there in the same area. Our room block usually does sell out, so book your room soon so as to not miss out. Once the host hotels are sold out, SIOP will provide additional hotel options on the hotel webpage.
SIOP enjoys welcoming attendees from around the globe to our Annual Conference. Please contact siop@siop.org with your name, address, and information. A standard invitation letter will be emailed to you.
SIOP’s Conference Career Center (CCC) provides a platform for employers to find I-O talent and for job seekers to find roles for the next phase in their careers. The Conference Career Center is committed to offering a formal setting to help facilitate these connections at the SIOP Annual Conference, including events and a physical space for interviews. The Conference Career Center strives to provide helpful career-related information and resources to both employers and job seekers.
Yes, the success of the SIOP Annual Conference is based in part on the support of our partners who provide products and services in the field of industrial-organizational psychology. There are numerous exhibit, sponsor, and advertising partnership opportunities from which to choose. Contact Susan Rogers at srogers@siop.org for more information.
There is no official dress code for the SIOP Annual Conference. Most attendees wear business attire or business casual attire during their time at the conference. Note that some meeting facilities can have wide variations in temperatures, which may be out of SIOP's immediate control. Therefore, you may wish to dress in layers to be comfortable regardless of the room you are in. It is also recommended to wear comfortable shoes – this one is important enough to state twice! You may be on your feet a lot and spend time walking from session to session so wearing comfortable shoes goes a long way!
Due to high costs in Denver, the Frank Landy 5K Fun Run is cancelled for 2025. The plan is for the event to return in New Orleans in 2026. The Conference Committee is looking at sponsorship or other revenue streams to bring back the event without raising costs for runners. If you’re interested in sponsoring the Fun Run in 2026 or have other ideas, please reach out to Susan Rogers at srogers@siop.org.
We suggest you check out https://www.denver.org/siop25/ for great information about the city.

Yes! The conference uses the Whova app, which provides not only a complete schedule but also allows attendees to create their own agenda, read and create discussions, and access the virtual exhibit hall. Whova is available at app stores. An email will be sent to all attendees with information on how to access approximately 2 weeks prior to the conference.
SIOP does not keep full-text copies of all research presented at our conferences. For abstracts and submitter information, please use the Whova app. You can contact the submitters directly for copies of their work. Some submitters have chosen to make their submission documents available in the Whova app, so you may find what you need without having to contact the submitter.
SIOP heads to New Orleans, Louisiana, April 30-May 2, 2026, and has future dates, cities, and venues booked out for a couple of years thereafter.
