Cheryl Paullin

Cheryl Paullin has spent her career conducting applied research in the talent acquisition and talent management domains.  For the past 10 years, she has served as senior consultant, program manager, and line of business director for the Human Resources Research Organization (HumRRO).  She spent the first 15 years of her career at PDRI. 

Cheryl has conducted numerous, often highly complex job analysis and competency modeling studies, designed and developed a variety of psychological assessments, conducted content and criterion-related validation studies, developed performance management tools and systems, and consulted on policy and implementation issues.  She has worked with a wide variety of private- and public-sector clients and with dozens of different jobs. Most of her work involves the use of assessments to support high stakes employment decisions.  

Cheryl earned her Ph.D. in I-O Psychology from the University of Minnesota. She is a Fellow of SIOP and of APA.  She regularly presents technical research at professional conferences and to organizational executives.  In 2014, she authored The Aging Workforce: Leveraging the Talents of Mature Workers, an Effective Practice Guideline published by the SHRM Foundation. In 2012, she was lead author on a chapter entitlted “Retention Strategies and Older Workers” published in the Oxford Handbook on Work and Aging.
